Brad Schulte (Co-Owner)

Born in Kansas and a graduate from Kansas University, Brad started his career in 1979 in Chicago. After 30 years of managing successful construction and customer service organizations, he and his wife moved to California, where he joined Blake in the pool and spa service, repair, and construction business. Over the last decade, Brad has been a leader in the pool industry participating at trade shows, IPSSA meetings and conferences, consulting with manufacturers, and working with some of the foremost leaders in the industry to create new industry standards and procedures. He and his wife have two grown daughters, and one beautiful grand daughter.

Blake Farris (Co-Owner)

A graduate from the University of Colorado Business School, Blake has extensive experience in the pool industry from construction to water chemistry. Blake is C-53 licensed and enjoys staying on top of all current pool and spa trends, including staying well versed on: the latest in pool and spa building techniques, equipment, operations, technology, safety, and training.  A member of The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals, Blake enjoys attending Pool and Spa Expo conferences, and the top tier industry continuing education courses. Ensuring a magnificent customer experience, rewarding work place, and being grateful are at the top of his daily list. In his free time, Blake enjoys his family, friends, sports, surfing, and triathlons.

Chad-pool

Chad Matsumoto (Service Director)

A Southern Californian native who grew up in Huntington Beach, Chad found his first pool job cleaning commercial pools during his first year of college at OCC in 1997. He has a total of 19 years in the industry and knows just about everything there is to know about how a pool operates. Chad maintains a CPO certification, one of the industry’s highest accreditations. His specialties include resolving service issues, training, and chemistry. He currently resides in Costa Mesa with Carmella and their 3 daughters.

Kyle Johnson (Repair Manager)

Kyle has been in the pool service industry since 2004 and is CPO certified. Kyle started off cleaning pools, was promoted to managing pool store in 2007, and repair manager in 2014. He is well versed in all aspects of the industry from pool cleaning to advanced equipment. Kyle focuses on continuing to learn about the latest equipment, and management of service and repair technicians. Kyle went to school at Cal State Fullerton and resides in Costa Mesa.

Jim Valencia (Repair Technician)

A Navy Veteran, Jim has 18 years of experience in service and repair management. Jim maintains an extensive mechanical background, and is also Pentair, Raypak, Hayward and Jandy certified. Jim is an Orange Country native currently residing in Costa Mesa with his wife, young daughter, and son who is currently in the Navy. He is a big LA Kings fan and enjoys watching his daughter at dance class.

Michellel

Michelle Powell (Office Manager)

Having 30 years of customer service and book keeping experience, Michelle runs the office for The Pool Pros service and repair.  A native of California, she enjoys helping people, solving problems, and working in a team environment. Michelle prides herself on making customer service her number one priority.  Michelle’s roots are from Brugge, Belgium where her parents came from and she enjoys traveling to Belgium to visit with her family.  She currently resides in Laguna with her husband Eric.  She enjoys the outdoors, music, photography and hiking.

Erica

Erica Avila (Office Admin)

Erica, born and raised in Orange County enjoys working with the pool guys and delivering exceptional customer service to our valued customers. On her time off, she volunteers her time working with special needs children and their families in a school setting. She is also a coordinator for her adult softball team, as well as an adult soccer team. Erica loves going to Disneyland with her three year old daughter. In the fall she plans to attend graduate school at night to pursue a career in law.
